THE CURRICULUM Lesson plans are prepared and posted by classroom teachers on a weekly basis. Themes for the entire year are established and created into developmentally appropriate lessons for all classrooms. Lessons are age appropriate for the children and take into consideration the individual needs of each child. Each child is accepted at their current developmental level and encouraged to grow at their own pace. Lessons focus on developing "the whole child" and there are opportunities throughout the day for exploration and teacher facilitated activities. Activities are designed to develop the physical, emotional, social and cognitive abilities of the child. School-age children are encouraged to contribute ideas for their summer programming and ongoing and community service projects are included. |
