I have studied at Kansas City Art Institute and at NWTC. I have completed several certificate programs, including Early Childhood Basic for ages 0-2, Early Childhood Foundations, Early Childhood Licensing Basics for ages 3-5 and Preschool Credential Certificate. I have been a teaching and child care assistant. I have worked with inner city children and with infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children.

I have been employed at Northern Door Children’s Center since March 2008.

I have several areas of special interest in the early  childhood education field including, “The New Vygotskians”, Responsive Infant Education, and Reggio Emilia.

In my leisure time, I like to paint and write. I come from a family of early childhood teachers including my grandmother, my aunt and my brother.
