Northern Door Children's Center has two Moon Rooms. Moon 1 is home to young toddlers and Moon 2 is home to older toddlers. Both rooms focus on fostering peer interactions and appropriate social/emotional development for children. Language development, steps toward independence, potty learning, early literacy and many sensory experiences are incorporated into the lesson plans prepared and implemented on a thematic basis. All activities planned by our toddler teaching staff are developmentally appropriate for toddlers.

Along with normal speech and language development, toddlers continue with the Sign2Me program. American Sign Language is used in the classroom to assist toddlers to communicate with their peers, teachers and parents.
