Kerry Merkle

Education Coordinator

I joined the teaching staff of Northern Door Children’s Center in 2003. I received my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from NWTC in the spring of 2009. I also received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay in Organizational Leadership in Early Childhood Education. I recently enrolled at University of Wisconsin River Falls to obtain my teaching license. 

 I currently serve as the Education Coordinator for the Center. I have taught in every classroom at the center. My first Infant Toddler Loop graduated high school in 2023. I have always had an interest in literacy and enjoy collecting children’s books and reading to the children. I am a skilled signer in American Sign Language so I can communicate with my sister who is hearing impaired.

I have been married to my husband since 1994. We have two grown children. Amanda followed me into Early Childhood Education and after college became a teacher. She and her husband Brandon live in the Green Bay area and are expecting their first child in May 2024. Will works for GFL Environmental and lives at home with me and Dale. In my spare time, I enjoy interior decorating and reading. I also enjoy the outdoors during the summer months.
