Lizbeth has been a proud member of the Northern Door Children’s Center board of directors for over 20 years. Why? You may ask, it is because she believes in the importance of Early Childhood education for all children. Lizbeth knows firsthand the difficulties children go through that have not had an early educational experience and the challenges they face as they try to understand the foundational concepts that are necessary for future learning. Northern Door Children’s Center provides this opportunity for our community. The Center has been serving families for over 30 years, from infants to school-age children.
The many successful programs provided make a difference for the children and families of this community. She is proud to be on this board, helping make decisions that assure that the children’s center maintains high quality early care and education, through the varied educational curriculums, the facility, the educators and the philosophy. Most importantly, NDCC provides opportunities to develop each child’s individual physical, social, emotional, creative and intellectual development. After all, two of her children are alumni of the Children’s Center and her grandchildren currently attend. Lizbeth takes pride in knowing that the center continues to evolve and grow to better meet the needs of our community’s children.
